Lucky's has members of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) on staff, and we are the only shop in Western Massachusetts to meet the environmental critera set by the APP (www.safepiercing.org), and we follow the strict guidelines of the Northampton and Amherst Boards of Health, in addition to the OSHA standards of operation. All practitioners are licensed and current on CPR, 1st Aid, and have been trained in Anatomy & Physiology. We use autoclave sterilization (we have units in each shop to ensure always having proper working autoclaves in-house) and our autoclaves are spore-tested every week, which is more frequent than required by law, to insure that our sterilization equipment is in top-notch working order for your safety.

We do appointments or walk-ins for tattoos, but appointments are recommended to ensure your spot. Appointments have priority over walk-ins. WE DO NOT SET UP APPOINTMENTS OVER THE PHONE. You must come in to set up an appointment for there is a monetary deposit required to insure that you will show up for your appointment. Your deposit goes towards the final price of your tattoo. Also, we need to know how much time to set aside for your appointment, and that is impossible to do over the phone.
Piercings are done on a walk-in basis only. It is 1st come, 1st served. Prices vary according to the piercing and what jewelry you choose. we use only the highest quality Body Jewelery from companies who can supply us with Safety Data Certificates on the quality of their metals. We only use internally threaded implant grade Surgical Stainless Steel (316LVM-F138), Titanium (Ti 6AL Eli-F-136), Niobium and 14ct & 18ct Solid Nickel free Gold. Each client is given verbal and written aftercare instructions and free check-ups during the life of your piercing. Please come down and check out our very extensive selection. We can special order any type of jewelry that is available from more than 20 companies which we do business with, at no extra cost to you. If you've seen it, we can get it! We're sure you will not leave disappointed.
Artists and Piercers are on site from 1pm until 1 hour before closing. We obey all laws regarding tattooing and piercing, and this means that we do not perform our services on people under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and we do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18. You must have a valid state issued ID with you when having any service done at Lucky's. A School ID Can only be used in conjunction with a Birth Certificate. For piercing Minors must be accomponied by a Parent or Legal Guardian with a valid ID as well as a Birth Certificate or valid Government issued ID for the Minor. No nipple or genital piercing under the age of 18. Ear piercing only under 14 years old. Feel free to call with any questions.
